Matrixport: Vitalik advocates the simplification of Ethereum, and Pectra upgrade takes a key step

He advocates simplifying the key code of the consensus layer and improving the scalability of the second-layer network through more mature zero-knowledge proof (ZK) and optimistic rollup technologies. The Pectra upgrade, which will be launched on May 7, integrates the two upgrade plans "Prague" and "Electra", including 11 Ethereum Improvement Proposals (EIPs), focusing on improving the scalability, security and user experience of the network. Key upgrades include: introducing an account abstraction mechanism (EIP-7702), increasing the validator limit (EIP-7251), and doubling the data block (Blob) throughput (EIP-7691) to reduce the transaction cost of Layer2. Although there were some problems in the early stages of the test network, Pectra is still regarded as a key step in the development of Ethereum.
