Odaily Planet Daily News The Infinite Node Foundation (NODE) announced the acquisition of the intellectual property rights of CryptoPunks from Yuga Labs and an additional donation of $25 million, becoming the non-profit organization with the largest investment in the field of digital art in the United States.
CryptoPunks was launched by Larva Labs in 2017, with total sales exceeding $3 billion to date, and is regarded as the starting point of the modern digital art movement.
NODE said it would "liberate" the series and move it towards a decentralized future driven by the community, and will hold the first full exhibition of 10,000 works in the new exhibition hall in Palo Alto, which will run Ethereum nodes to ensure the permanence of the works on the chain. The original author Matt Hall and John Watkinson will join the advisory team to jointly promote the development of the project.
