The Data: About 88% of Nomad Exploiters Were Copycats, Gaining About $88M

The Coinbase research report estimates that about 88% of the exploiters in the Nomad cross-chain bridge attack incident may be imitators, that is, they just copy the code of the key attacker and execute the attack. Together, they made a profit of about 88 million US dollars. Most copycats use variations of the original exploit by simply modifying the target token, amount, and recipient address, while "most valuable tokens were stolen from only two of the original exploiters' addresses."
