Sources familiar with the matter revealed that on Tuesday, Meta is expected to announce the division of its AI department, the Meta Superintelligence Lab, into four distinct groups. One group will focus on AI research, another on a potentially powerful AI known as 'superintelligence,' a third on product development, and the last on infrastructure, including data centers and other AI hardware. These changes aim to better organize Meta for faster AI product development to compete with other companies. The sources also indicated that some AI executives are anticipated to leave the company.
