According to Bloomberg, citing people familiar with the matter, the European Union's "Digital Market Law" requires technology companies to allow the installation of third-party applications and make it easier for users to change default settings. In order to comply with the law, Apple may allow its European users to download applications in third-party application stores, which may enable encrypted and NFT applications to bypass Apple's 30% commission. Apple has yet to make a final decision on whether to comply with the Digital Marketplace Act regulations that allow developers to install third-party payment systems in their apps.
