According to an interview video released by Delphi Digital, Pump.fun co-founder Noah (@sapijiju) stated that the team experienced nine failed attempts before successfully launching Pump.fun, including an NFT launch platform, an NFT AMM, tokenized creator financing, an auditor revenue mechanism, and a FriendTech fork, all of which failed. Lacking significant funding, the team relied on a small number of angel investors, and it wasn't until their ninth attempt that they seized the market opportunity with Pump.fun. He also noted that Pump.fun's design incorporated elements from previously failed products. Noah also criticized the current lack of truly successful companies in the crypto industry, calling Coinbase a "failed company," arguing that its founder, Brian Armstrong, contributed only to the commercialization of Bitcoin wallets.
