The author of "Rich Dad Poor Dad" says the "60/40 portfolio" is dead and endorses Morgan Stanley's "60/20/20" strategy.

Robert Kiyosaki, author of "Rich Dad Poor Dad," posted on X Platform that the traditional "60/40" investment portfolio (60% stocks, 40% bonds) became ineffective when the US dollar went off the gold standard in 1971. He criticized the US government as "the largest debtor nation in history" and the US dollar as "an IOU from a bankrupt government," questioning why anyone would still buy its bonds. He pointed out that Morgan Stanley's current "60/20/20" portfolio (60% stocks, 20% bonds, 20% gold) offers greater long-term financial security, emphasizing that gold has outperformed both stocks and bonds over the long term. Kiyosaki stated that he still prefers "real assets" such as gold, silver, Bitcoin, Ethereum, real estate rental income, and oil assets, and claimed to have achieved financial freedom over 30 years ago.
