HSBC: The US dollar is likely to weaken again and may bottom out early next year

There's a heated debate in the market about whether the US dollar has bottomed out, but HSBC believes it's likely to weaken further. Paul Merkel, HSBC's global head of foreign exchange research, noted in a report: "When the Fed restarts its easing cycle and the US economy avoids recession, history suggests the dollar will weaken, a pattern that's difficult to break."
