The BitMEX investigation focuses on Alexander Höptner's move from Hong Kong to Singapore and later to Germany, and believes he misappropriated company funds to facilitate the relocation. Lawyers for Alexander Höptner called the company’s allegations “completely baseless” and said Bitmex owed him $3.4 million, plus damages.
