According to TheStreet, crypto media outlet Blockworks has announced the closure of its news division, shifting its strategic focus to its rapidly growing data and analytics business. Blockworks co-founder Jason Yanowitz announced the news early this morning on the X platform, stating, "The market has clearly told us that the combination of data and distribution has extremely high value. The crypto media landscape is changing, and audiences are increasingly seeking information through real-time data dashboards, research platforms, and institutional-grade analytics tools, rather than traditional news reporting." Yanowitz noted that the company's analytics business has experienced "particularly rapid growth" over the past two years.
