Central Bank of Russia Plans to Test International Payments Using Cryptocurrencies in the Framework of Regulatory Sandbox

According to the Russian TASS news agency, Olga Skorobogatova, First Deputy Chairman of the Russian Central Bank, said in the State Duma (lower house of parliament), "We plan to test the use of cryptocurrencies for international payments within the framework of the regulatory sandbox, which means international economic activities." The project will be implemented with interested market participants, but the regulator did not specify which companies might be involved.
