According to PANews, Kevin Hassett, Director of the U.S. National Economic Council, expressed optimism about the country's economic prospects, stating that unless a 'black swan' event occurs, the nation is poised for a 'golden year' in economic history. Hassett mentioned that he would be 'disappointed' if the growth rate in the first and second quarters of the next year is only 3%, suggesting that an additional percentage point increase is easily achievable. Furthermore, he reiterated his expectation that Federal Reserve policymakers will lower interest rates at their meeting next week, noting that it is an opportune moment for the Fed to cautiously reduce rates again.
