Pump.fun co-founder Alon announced on the X platform that its Creator Fees mechanism will undergo significant changes. While the existing mechanism is effective for tokens from projects with established teams, it excessively incentivizes the creation of low-risk tokens rather than high-risk transactions, and suffers from a lack of usability and a poor user experience. Therefore, the platform will adopt a market-based approach to reform, allowing traders to decide whether a narrative deserves creator fees and how those fees should be used.
