Alphabet, Google's parent company, surpassed the $4 trillion market capitalization mark. Its stock price rose as much as 1.7% that day, reaching $334.04 per share, corresponding to a market capitalization of $4 trillion. Alphabet recently surpassed Apple to become the world's second-largest company, after Nvidia. To date, only Nvidia, Apple, and Microsoft have had a market capitalization exceeding $4 trillion, while Nvidia remains the only company with a market capitalization exceeding $5 trillion. Monday's stock price increase was driven by news that Apple had chosen Alphabet's Gemini model to power its AI-powered Siri digital assistant.
