Survey: 80% of US CEOs say Trump's pressure on Powell to cut interest rates is not in the best interest of the United States.

Jeffrey Sonnenfeld, founder of the Yale Institute for CEO Leadership, points out that privately, American CEOs are "deeply shocked" by the government's attacks on the Federal Reserve. Sonnenfeld and his colleagues found that among the 200 CEOs they surveyed, 71% believed the Trump administration had eroded the Fed's independence, and 80% said Trump's pressure on Powell to cut interest rates was not in the best interests of the United States. And all of this occurred even before they learned of the Justice Department's investigation into Powell. (Jinshi)
