The Zcash Foundation officially announced that, in response to the service disruption of the DNS seed nodes operated by Electric Coin Company (ECC) on January 8th, it has deployed five new DNS seed nodes in the United States and Europe. The new seed nodes are located in South Carolina and Oregon in the US, and Belgium, Germany, and Finland in Europe. Currently, including the existing seed nodes, the Zcash Foundation operates a total of six seed nodes, aiming to ensure reliable node discovery for users and improve wallet and node launch performance. Furthermore, the Zcash Foundation is considering further deployments in other regions to further enhance coverage and reliability, and Shielded Labs is also working to deploy additional seed nodes.
