The Securities Commission of The Bahamas, in partnership with the Government of The Bahamas and Finoverse, has announced the relaunch of the D3 Bahamas Fintech Festival ("D3").
The event is scheduled for 10 to 12 October 2023 at the Atlantis Conference Centre.
Prime Minister the Hon. Philip Davis, K.C., stated:
"The Bahamas is committed to leading the FinTech and Web3 industries, fostering innovation, and facilitating cross-border development. D3 Bahamas seeks to make a transformative impact by collaborating on progressive policies while ensuring public protection and industry growth. The Bahamas is open and ready for business."
D3 focuses on digital assets, decentralisation, and blockchain technology, positioning The Bahamas as a hub for technological innovation.
Over 800 participants, including builders, regulators, investors, founders, and thought leaders, will discuss key topics such as regulation, FinTech fundamentals, and the path to a successful digital economy.
This gathering in The Bahamas provides a platform to address today's regulatory, technological, and financial challenges.
Christina Rolle, Executive Director of the Securities Commission of The Bahamas, expressed:
"The Bahamas welcomes FinTech and Web3 leaders to Nassau for three days of discourse and networking through presentations, panels and workshops. We are excited to present a FinTech event that not only embraces technological innovation but one that will serve as a driver for the development of inclusive and effective regulation. D3 Bahamas brings FinTech and Web3 creators and builders, enthusiasts, and regulators together to better understand the needs of this burgeoning community."
D3 encourages project applications to its Startup Programme. If accepted, projects will be introduced to global and regional venture capitalists, regulators, policymakers, and Finoverse communities around the world.
