Search interest for the keyword "metaverse" has dropped dramatically in Google searches. However, while the craze may be fading, companies still seem keen to venture into the virtual world.

In March alone, companies launched or announced plans to build Metaverse offices that will be used for online meetings with international clients, internal innovation centers, and enhanced social communication with users.

Events company Atom sets up a metaverse office

Mumbai-based events company Atom recently opened its Metaverse office. The company bought digital space in Decentraland and plans to use the virtual office as a new way to reach international clients. The company also plans to use it at future Metaverse events.

Atom's creative director, Yash kulshshtha, said in an interview that the move is aimed at expanding the company's global presence and catering to the younger generation. "Younger generations growing up today will find that to be a totally natural thing to do," Kulshshtha said.

KuCoin Exchange Launches KuCoin Meta Office

Digital asset exchange KuCoin has launched an office on Bloktopia Digital Space. In a press release, the exchange unveiled its KuCoin Meta Office. The office is designed to provide visitors with an immersive metaverse experience, as well as opportunities for interactive social interaction.

The CEO of KuCoin, Johnny Lyu, said the milestone will help the Metaverse and blockchain adoption. Lyu said: “KuCoin is exploring the metaverse and application scenarios of blockchain technology.”

Bjarke Ingels designs its first virtual office

Renowned architecture firm Bjarke Ingels Group has teamed up with Vice Media’s creative agency Virtue Futures to design a new metaverse office in Decentraland. Dubbed the "Viceverse office," the digital space will be the hub for Vice Media Group employees.

In an interview, Virtue Futures executive Morten Grubak described the office as an "experimental playground." According to Grubak, the office allows his team to experiment with non-fungible tokens, decentralized autonomous organizations and Web3.

SCB 10x reveals its plans to launch The Sandbox-based office

SCB 10x, the venture capital arm of Siam Commercial Bank, has revealed plans to launch a virtual office based on The Sandbox. According to its announcement, the office will launch later in 2022 and will be used to connect the global community of builders.

In addition to connecting with the community, the digital office will allow visitors to attend events, attend product demos and tour unique, carefully crafted environments.
