1. What do you think of TAIKO, the Ethereum ZK L2 system that Vitalik also supports?
I had some knowledge of this project earlier, but I didn't pay much attention to it later. The main reason was that I couldn't see its characteristics from the overall perspective, so I didn't pay much attention to it. In addition, because my time, energy and financial resources were very limited, I didn't participate in the project.
Vitalik often mentions various projects in his articles. Some people think that this is his support for these projects, but I don't think so. I think sometimes he evaluates a project purely from a technical perspective.
There are many such cases in his articles.
For example, the Loopring team used ZK technology to build a decentralized exchange very early. At that time, this exchange was mentioned by Vitalik on various occasions. I think from a technical perspective, this exchange was indeed very avant-garde in the scenario at that time. It was probably the first decentralized exchange that used ZK technology at that time.
From a technical perspective, it is appropriate for Vitalik to mention it, and his purpose is also very clear---it is to encourage the Ethereum ecosystem to vigorously promote and use ZK technology.
But I have never bought coins from this exchange because of this, mainly because the ZK technology was still very immature at the time, and that exchange still had great limitations in scalability, and it was obviously not as competitive as Uniswap.
Whether a project can eventually grow and develop is related to many factors, and technology is only one of them. So I think you can seriously study and understand the projects mentioned by Vitalik, especially in terms of technical foresight and orientation.
But specifically whether to participate in the projects he mentioned still requires your own independent judgment.
2. Why do you feel that this round of bull market is difficult?
I think it depends entirely on how to define a bull market.
If I follow my standards, since the collapse of the last bull market, there has never been a new bull market, because Bitcoin and Ethereum have not both hit record highs (it is just that Bitcoin has passed the historical peak of the last round).
In the past, the bull market usually came about half a year after the Bitcoin halving. If we follow the past history, this round of bull market may not come until after October this year.
It is only June now, so there is no need to rush, let alone feel that this round is particularly difficult.
This round, like the past, we must be patient before the bull market comes.
3. Li Ka-shing has been away from the mainland for ten years. Now it seems that he left too early or too late?
Mr. Li Ka-shing is a senior businessman whom I admire very much.
I don’t like to use the popular emotional views on the Internet to comment on such a senior. I always think that as long as you abide by the law and donate a lot to charity, there is nothing to be picky about. Just based on this point, the old man has exceeded the contribution that most people can make to society in their lifetime.
I saw a news on the Internet earlier: In February this year, the parents of the old man’s hometown went to Hong Kong to visit the old man.
The details of the foreign news report mentioned that the old man replied very politely (roughly): As long as there is a chance, the old man will definitely do his best for his hometown and country again.
I think this statement has clearly shown the old man’s own views on whether it is early or late to leave the mainland.
4. How about AMPL?
I bought this coin in the last bull market, and I also got its airdropped governance tokens because of providing liquidity, so I was deeply impressed.
But when the last bull market was approaching its peak, I threw them all away. I no longer saw any special innovations and new directions in the project later, so I never bought it again and gradually forgot about this project.
