Susquehanna’s purchases cover nine of the 10 spot BTC ETFs currently on the market, with only Franklin Templeton’s fund EZBC not appearing in the company’s latest filing.
Susquehanna is one of the largest firms investing in spot BTC ETFs today. In addition, the firm also bills itself as one of the world’s largest proprietary trading firms, with an estimated $481 billion in assets under management (AUM).
These investments also reflect broad institutional interest in spot BTC ETFs in the months since they were launched.
Hightower Advisors, SouthState Bank, BNP Paribas, and Burkett Financial Services have also reported similar spot BTC ETF investments in their 13F filings.
In addition, Legacy Wealth Asset Management and a number of other firms have also reported investments.
Members of BlackRock and Bitwise predict that institutions will continue to invest in spot BTC ETFs, and the latest disclosures support this trend.
This quarter’s 13F filings only disclose purchases prior to March 31, meaning recent purchases may still be undisclosed.
As of May 7, assets under management for spot BTC ETFs totaled $52 billion, with inflows of $11.7 billion as of May 6.
