Malaysian police cracked a kidnapping case of Chinese citizens, shot dead four suspects and arrested 10 people, while another four are still at large. The kidnapping took place on July 11, when a Chinese citizen and his female friend were kidnapped on their way from Kuala Lumpur International Airport to Seberjaya, Selangor.
The family of the kidnapped paid about $1.2 million (about 9.36 million RMB) in cryptocurrency as ransom and was finally released on July 15. The police seized about $373,000 in cash and vehicles, watches and jewelry worth about $700,000 in the case.
