Coinbase Announces Launch of Spot Crypto Trading on International Exchange

In a recent blog post, Coinbase, a crypto exchange, shared its plans for global expansion. As part of these efforts, the company will soon introduce the option to spot trade cryptocurrencies outside of the United States.
Coinbase's international exchange will now enable institutional customers to trade bitcoin and ether against the USDC stablecoin, starting from Thursday. While institutional customers can begin trading bitcoin and ether against the USDC stablecoin starting Thursday, retail investors will have to wait a few more months for the same functionality. Additionally, the platform plans to roll out support for other assets in the future.
As stated by the company, their initial emphasis will be on developing liquidity and establishing a strong foundation.
Coinbase's international exchange was launched in May of this year, initially as a derivatives exchange. Derivatives trading is a popular strategy among crypto investors and is subject to extensive oversight in the U.S.
