Do people think AI agents can trade and invest better?
Roughly half of the people believe that AI agents will do better than humans in crypto trading and investing most of the time. That being said, the remaining half of the survey participants believe that AI is not yet superior to humans in the crypto market, indicating that opinions on this comparison are still divided.
For short-term crypto trading, 26.7% of survey participants expect AI agents to usually outperform humans, and 22.0% of survey participants expect AI to always win. Meanwhile, for long-term cryptocurrency investments, 23.6% said AI agents will usually do better than humans, while 23.0% believe that this will always be the case.

Overall, 48.7% believe that AI will be more profitable than humans in cryptocurrency trading, a slight edge over the 46.6% who favor using AI for cryptocurrency investing.
However, the most common individual opinion is that AI agents will sometimes outperform humans in the cryptocurrency market: 29.3% expect AI agents to only sometimes outperform humans in cryptocurrency trading, and 28.3% say the same for investing.
Despite the growing popularity of crypto AI, at least one in five survey participants held the opposite view, believing that AI will largely lose to humans in crypto trading and investing. When it comes to cryptocurrency trading, 13.0% believe that AI agents will rarely outperform humans, while 9.0% believe that this will never happen. When it comes to crypto investing, 15.3% expect AI agents to rarely do better than humans, and 9.8% expect that AI will never outperform humans.
How much do people trust AI agents for trading and investing?
The same survey found that participants had very mixed views on whether AI agents can be trusted to access and manage people's crypto wallets. Specifically, 37.5% said they do not trust AI agents to manage their crypto wallets, while a slightly lower 34.5% said they can, and 27.9% are neutral on the matter.

At the same time, 87.1% of respondents said they were willing to let AI agents manage at least one-tenth of their cryptocurrency portfolios. This shows that despite doubts about the security of AI agents, crypto users are still mainly curious about the technology and want to try using them for trading or investing.
Of these, 35.9% said they were willing to let AI agents manage most of their cryptocurrency portfolios (i.e. 60% or more). Among them, a minority of 14.5% were willing to hand over their entire cryptocurrency portfolio to AI agents for management. In other words, one in seven participants either believed they could fully trust AI agents to hand over all their cryptocurrencies to them, believed the potential profits would outweigh the risks, or simply had a high risk tolerance for their cryptocurrency holdings.

Another 51.3% would only be willing to have an AI agent manage half or less of their cryptocurrency portfolio. Interestingly, the second most popular amount overall was to have an AI agent manage half of the portfolio, with 13.6% of participants choosing this option.
On the other hand, 12.9% said they would not give their cryptocurrency portfolio to an AI agent to manage. This means that 1 in 8 participants either do not trust an AI agent to manage their cryptocurrency at all or think they can manage their cryptocurrency portfolio better than an AI agent.
