CZ Hints at BNB Chain AI Agent Tutorial

Although Changpeng Zhao (CZ) has stepped down as Binance CEO, his influence in the crypto space remains strong.

Just days after the Broccoli meme coin frenzy, CZ expressed interest in AI agents, hinting at BNB Chain’s growing focus on AI integration.

He shared on X (formerly known as Twitter) that the BNB Chain team is preparing a video tutorial on creating AI agents, featuring a screenshot from DeFiLlama, a leading DeFi analytics platform.

This initiative aligns with BNB Chain’s 2025 roadmap, which emphasizes AI integration, including native AI agents for wallets to support trading and other tasks.

CZ’s post also highlighted BNB Chain’s dominance in the decentralised exchange (DEX) market, with DeFiLlama data showing $3.7 billion in 24-hour volume and $31 billion over the past week—accounting for 38% of the market and a 66% weekly volume surge.

Additionally, Nansen data reported a 21% increase in active addresses and a 388% spike in transaction fees on BNB Chain, driven largely by heightened activity following CZ’s meme coin-related updates.

The Deal with CZ and AI Agents

Amidst the buzz surrounding Broccoli meme coins and the recent TST token listing on Binance—an endorsement CZ has denied—he appears to be steering his focus toward AI agents.

This shift signals a preference for utility-driven blockchain projects over fleeting meme coin trends.

Speculation is already mounting on X that BNB Chain’s upcoming AI agent tutorial could redirect market attention, potentially tempering meme coin trading activity.

However, if BNB Chain intends to become a hub for AI agents, it faces the challenge of catching up with significant advancements in the space over recent months.

When asked why he chose to use BNB as a ticker instead of BNC, CZ explained that it collided with an existing token.

CZ’s announcement drew mixed reactions, including one user’s remark that Binance was too late to the trend, advising CZ to focus on his newfound freedom post-incarceration.

Unfazed, CZ responded that he had “enough rest while in jail” and assured that his team continues to build.

While CZ remains tight-lipped about BNB Chain’s long-term AI strategy, his engagement suggests a commitment to fostering AI innovation on the network.

This sparked a flurry of Broccoli-themed tokens across platforms like Solana’s Pump.fun and Four.meme.

In his latest post, CZ explained that he is not trying to push any AI agent tokens.
