Why did you decide to start a crypto exchange? Was there a specific goal that you wanted to achieve?
KuCoin was established to offer an accessible trading platform for a diverse user base, including beginners, professional investors, and institutional clients.
The belief is that the crypto industry has the potential to transform the financial system, benefiting a wider global audience, including those with limited education, unemployed individuals, and those without access to traditional banking. The ongoing mission is to enable the seamless transfer of digital value on a global scale.

What were the challenges that you faced when starting and growing KuCoin? How did you overcome them?
Since our inception, our primary aim has been to offer a user-friendly, secure platform. We've consistently prioritised these aspects, even amidst a fluctuating market.
Moving ahead, we'll intensify our focus on delivering a dependable trading platform and remain dedicated to enhancing user experiences.
Securing Trades, Elevating Experience
Centralised exchanges have been in the spotlight over the past year because of meltdowns like FTX. Is this attention justified?
In every industry, unexpected events and occasional bad actors are a common occurrence. The FTX incident over the past year prompted noticeable adjustments in the industry. Leading exchanges like KuCoin have taken steps towards self-regulation, implementing measures such as POR (Proof of Reserves).
As a cornerstone of the industry, KuCoin, standing as a People's Exchange and an industry leader, remains committed to its initial goal of providing top-notch products and services to users. Over the past six years, KuCoin has navigated industry shifts and celebrated a milestone of over 30 million users on our 6th anniversary.
We've consistently prioritised user interests, from product innovation to safety measures, reflecting our ongoing industry competitiveness.
