It’s not clear how many tokens players will be able to claim. Notcoin set a precedent by offering players an on-chain NOT token for every 1,000 in-game coins mined. However, Hamster Kombat appears to be taking a different approach. In early June, the team tweeted that airdrop allocations would not be based solely on the number of tokens accumulated in the game before a set deadline.
“Airdrops will be based on hourly profits and some other campaign parameters we’ll announce later, not on token balances,” the official game account tweeted on June 6. The team encouraged users to “play wisely.” On June 18, they reiterated that hourly profits will take precedence over token balances in response to numerous questions on the matter.
What does this mean for players? While Hamster Kombat displays the number of tokens earned, simply accumulating the biggest pile doesn’t guarantee the best airdrops. Instead, it seems more advantageous to reinvest the tokens in upgrades that can increase your hourly profit margin, which determines your passive income level.
