Kamala Harris is using Coinbase to accept crypto campaign donations

According to a recent report by Fortune, Coinbase's Chief Financial Officer, Alesia Haas, revealed that U.S. Vice President and Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris is using Coinbase’s Commerce platform to accept cryptocurrency donations for her campaign. This development was disclosed during Haas's discussion with Peter Christiansen, Citigroup’s Director of Payments, at the Citi 2024 Global TMT Conference in New York.

Haas mentioned that Harris is actively accepting cryptocurrency donations, although the official fundraising site for Harris's campaign has yet to reflect this option. Additionally, the pro-Harris advocacy group, Crypto4Harris, stated they were unaware of this new development. Attempts to confirm this information with Harris’s campaign and Coinbase have not yet received a response.
