Mark Yusko, founder of Morgan Creek Capital, shared his insights on the crypto market in an exclusive interview and gave a comprehensive outlook for 2025.
Despite the possibility that the United States may implement a strategic reserve of Bitcoin, Yusko remains a firm believer in Bitcoin's four-year cycle.
He predicts that after reaching a fair value of about $100,000, Bitcoin will experience a parabolic rise that could push it to $120,000 to $150,000 by mid-2025.
"For me, fair value is around this six-digit level. I think we'll break through this six-digit level," he said. However, he warned that a bear market could arrive before the end of the year, warning that "from mid-2025 we will have another bear market." Regarding Ethereum, Yusko expressed doubts about its long-term dominance. While the approval of a spot Ethereum exchange-traded fund in 2024 is a milestone, Yusko questioned Ethereum's competitive advantage.
He asked, “If Ethereum didn’t exist and was invented today, would anyone use it?”With faster and cheaper alternatives like Solana and Avalanche growing in popularity,Yusko believes thatEthereum’s current market dominance may not be sustainable in the face of better technical solutions.
