This day has finally come. NEAR Protocol's Chain Signatures technology has been launched on the mainnet. We are ready to move towards the future of chain abstraction together. It's time to remove the barriers to entry, liquidity, and usability.
Chain Signature Technology Detailed Explanation
Chain Signature technology allows users to sign any transaction on any blockchain directly using their NEAR account.
On August 8, 2024, Chain Signatures will be released for Bitcoin, Ethereum (and any EVM chain), Dogecoin, XRP, Cosmos, Polkadot, etc., supporting all blockchains based on ECDSA (Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm). It will be released for Solana and more chains soon.
Using chain signature technology, you can:
· Interact with (almost) any chain using your NEAR account
· Unlock bridge-free full-chain DeFi
· Launch full-chain tokens - issue a token on multiple chains, etc.
Projects and public chains that already support chain signatures
Currently, there are dozens of teams using NEAR's chain signature technology, let's take a look at a few of them:
· Bitte
Use AI to build and execute cross-chain transactions. Passkey wallet compatible with any chain, and directly connect to all Ethereum applications through WalletConnect. This is what Bitte does.
· Sweat Economy
Sweat Economy is one of the world's leading consumer Web3 applications, paving the way for the future of chain abstraction. Sweat users will be able to use any chain supported by the Sweat wallet and pay fees with SWEAT tokens. The first chains compatible with Sweat Economy are BNB Chain and Base.
· DeFuse
DeFuse is a true multi-chain spot DEX (decentralized exchange). Transactions between any assets on any chain can be completed in seconds. Enjoy the most liquidity and the best prices. No fees are charged.
· Allstake
Allstake is the first full-chain grid staking protocol, supporting native re-staking of BTC, SOL, NEAR, etc.
· HERE Wallet
HERE Wallet is the creator of HOT Protocol, one of the most commonly used Web3 dApps. HERE Wallet is a Telegram-based wallet with more than 1 million daily active users. Access any chain directly through Telegram.
The non-exhaustive list of chain signature compatible chains is as follows:
Bitcoin
Ethereum (and standard EVM L2s)
BNB
Ripple
Tron
Polkadot
Polygon
Avalanche
Cosmos
Hedera
Filecoin
Internet Computer
Mantle
VeChain
