July 22, 2024 — OKX, the world’s leading cryptocurrency exchange and Web3 company, has launched a new Telegram Mini-App (TMA) game called “OKX Racer.”
The game challenges players to guess Bitcoin price movements within five-second intervals, making OKX the first major centralized exchange to release a TMA.
Players predict whether Bitcoin's price will rise ('moon') or fall ('doom') in the next five seconds.
Correct guesses earn points, with consecutive wins offering multipliers to boost scores.
At the time of writing, more than 710,000 players are participating in OKX Racer
The game also features referral rewards and in-game upgrades.It is free-to-play and expected to become popular on the Telegram Mini-App circuit.

The concept behind OKX Racer is not entirely new. In 2019, Solana-based derivatives betting platform Hxro launched a similar game based on Bitcoin's price movements.
Despite this, OKX hopes to bring significant growth to its community with this new venture.

The team behind it seeks ways to take normal trading behavior and amp up the excitement, with real money at stake.
Players bet on whether the price of BTC will rise (MOON) or fall (REKT) within five minutes.
There's a new card every five minutes into perpetuity, and it doesn't matter how much or how little the price goes up or down.
If BTC is one penny lower at the end of the interval, everyone on the REKT side shares the HXRO placed on the MOON side.
The specific incentive model for OKX Racer is not yet clear. Typically, such games thrive on the anticipation of possible airdrops, where players can swap points for game-related tokens on TON.
A similar event occurred in May with Notcoin, which airdropped over 80 billion TON-based tokens to its players.

OKX Racer, the telegram game officially launched by OKX, may follow the example of the previous Bitcoin gambling game Hxro and use its own native token OKT as a bet for real mortgage within the game.
In this way, the circulation of OKT tokens can be increased to achieve the purpose of increasing the token price.
