I compiled a short list of the craziest/most profitable trades in the history of cryptocurrency:
@MustStopMurad & SPX
The wallet of the new Meme King @MustStopMurad shows that he bought SPX between June 2 and August 16 this year.
He spent a total of $387,000 to buy 35.69 million SPX, which is worth $23.57 million today, realizing a return of about 61 times.
@blockgraze & WIF
Next is @blockgraze, who bought $1,156 of WIF on November 24, 2023.
With only 20 SOL, he obtained 7.4 million WIF, which is worth 16.8 million US dollars today, realizing a return of about 6401 times.
SHIB Whale
Then there is the famous SHIB whale, who bought $8,000 worth of SHIB in August 2020.
At its peak, the total value of these coins was $5.7 billion (about 40 billion yuan).
The diamond hand did not move these tokens for more than 782 days, and the profit was about 712,500 times.
@theunipcs & Bonk
Then there is @theunipcs, also known as "bonk guy".
With a little faith and a lot of leverage, he took a risky bet on BONK.
His bet paid off, turning $16,000 into $18,000,000, a return of about 1,125 times.
Luca Netz & Pudgy Penguin
In April 2022, Luca Netz purchased ownership of Pudgy Penguin and the right to collect sales royalties for 750 ETH (about $2,500,000 at the time).
After the previous owner was voted out and there was new leadership, this bet ended up being very valuable.
$2,500,000 --> $196,593,576, about a 78x gain.
0x282 & Punk #2386
One trader bought Punk #2386 for a fraction of its market value.
By targeting a now-defunct NFT Wrapping platform, he launched an unnoticed acquisition of NFT fragments. This allowed him to buy punk #2386 for just 10 eth.
Today it is worth well over 600 ETH, a 60x gain.
