After releasing a glitch-like trailer earlier today, Notcoin confirmed that it will end the “mining phase” of the game on April 1st. But the "glitch" raised more questions than it answered: Will April 1 be the day of the airdrop? What have Notcoin players been waiting for? Or is the Notcoin team playing an April Fools’ joke on their massive 30 million player base?
Notcoin is a viral clicker game where millions of Telegram users earn in-game currency by clicking on coin graphics on their phone screens. Initially, it was unclear whether the in-game coins could be exchanged for real cryptocurrencies, but the team recently confirmed that airdrops are indeed being opened via network (TON).
Players logging into the Notcoin game on Monday will see a strange, glitch-like graphic that briefly says "7 Days" before disappearing.
The team also shared a post on the Notcoin community channel that included a clip from Avengers: Endgame (revisiting a clip from Guardians of the Galaxy) and a A note that reads "The mining phase will end on April 1". The article goes on to thank the members of the Notcoin community who, in the game’s typical mysterious Notcoin style, have been a part of the journey so far.
The message reads : "The team developed this app, but you see something." "Something doesn't match what people expected. Ridiculous, but makes sense. It's you who got it. That's all of you. Me and all the contributors thank you Every day and night is spent building it for you, with you.”
While there is no word on when the token will launch, a Notcoin representative confirmed, The airdrop will take place within the next two weeks. Although the mining phase is coming to an end, the game is not over yet. More information about the next phase of Notcoin will be released after the mining phase is completed.
