February 2018: Zhao appeared on the cover of Forbes and ranked third in Crypto's Richest list.
March 22, 2018: Japanese Financial Services Agency ordered Binance to cease operations due to a lack of license, prompting Binance to relocate its headquarters to Malta.
April 13, 2018: Zhao visited Taiwan, discussed cryptocurrency opportunities, and then brought up the possibility of Binance's presence within the country with legislator Hsu Yu-jen on Facebook.
April 26, 2018: Zhao reached a cooperation agreement with the Ugandan government, and then received an audience with the Ugandan president.
April 28, 2018: Zhao took a photo with the Prime Minister of Bermuda, seeking compliance alternatives.
May 7, 2018: Bob Xu organized an event where OKCoin founder Star Xu, Huobi CEO Leon Li, and other crypto heavyweights gathered, but Zhao was inconspicuously absent.
June 2018: Binance's Uganda fiat exchange went live.
September 17, 2018: Yi He posted a photo of CZ with Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong on social media.
A few days later, Prime Minister Lee expressed his dissatisfaction on Facebook.
January 2019: Binance.je was launched for the European market.
March 2019: Binance Lite Australia was launched, offering Bitcoin services in Australian dollars.
June 2019: Zhao Changpeng filed a lawsuit against Sequoia.
July 2019: Binance Singapore launched, which allowed direct trading with Singapore dollars.
September 2019: Binance.US launched.
November 2019: Binance acquired Indian exchange WazirX.
December 2019: Binance announced the launch of the first fiat trading corridor, Latemex, in Latin America.
