▌VanEck insists on moving forward with Solana ETF plan despite Cboe document removal
VanEck is still moving forward with its Solana ETF plan despite Cboe Global Markets removing the 19b-4 regulatory filing for the VanEck Solana ETF from its website. Matthew Sigel, head of digital asset research at VanEck, confirmed that VanEck's solicitation document (S-1) is still valid despite the document no longer being visible. Cboe filed an application with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in July seeking to list the Solana ETF on its exchange and asked the SEC to make a decision by March. Sigel said VanEck believes that Solana (SOL) is similar to Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH), a commodity rather than a security, and will continue to promote this plan with exchange partners.
▌SkyBridge founder: Crypto voters could cost Harris the US election
SkyBridge Capital founder Anthony Scaramucci said that US presidential candidate Kamala Harris could lose the US election because of her failure to attract voters who support cryptocurrency.
Suppose there are only 25 million people in the United States who own cryptocurrency, but suppose 5% of them are single-issue voters...if they are in swing states in the United States, she will lose the election," Scaramucci said.
Scaramucci, who served as the White House communications director for the Trump administration, admitted that the US Democratic Party's attitude towards the cryptocurrency industry has been "a disaster." Although most people in the cryptocurrency community seem to support Donald Trump because of his pro-crypto campaign stance, Scaramucci believes that he is not an ideal candidate for cryptocurrency.
"He is the most transactional person you will ever meet. Today he supports cryptocurrency; tomorrow, he may or may not support cryptocurrency," Scaramucci said.

▌Viewpoint: TON and Telegram's key role in Web3 games
Catizen CEO David Mak and Foundation Chairman Tim Wong discussed the importance of Telegram's Open Network (TON) in Web3 games in an interview. TON's huge user base and incentive mechanism provide an ideal platform for Web3 games, helping to solve the problem of user acquisition. Catizen successfully converted a large number of users into high-quality users by combining In-App Blockchain (IAB) and In-App Purchase (IAP).
In addition, Catizen recently launched the "Catizen vibe, heal the world" charity project, using the proceeds to rescue stray cats and receiving positive feedback through community activities.

▌Ethereum DApp transaction volume plummeted 33% in the past week
The transaction volume of Ethereum (ETH) decentralized applications (DApps) plummeted 33% to $39.04 billion in the past week. The decline reflects the contraction of the overall cryptocurrency market, although Ethereum still leads in total locked value (TVL) and transaction volume. Ethereum's spot exchange-traded funds (ETFs) performed mediocrely, leading to capital outflows and limiting ETH price gains.
While Ethereum's TVL increased by 9% in 30 days to $18.6 million, the TVL of the BNB chain declined. The Ethereum network's decline in on-chain activity could have a negative impact on ETH prices, despite record highs in activity for second-layer solutions such as Base, Optimism, and Arbitrum. This broad decline in activity suggests a general waning of interest across the crypto industry.
▌Polygon executive: RWAs are a $30 trillion opportunity
Tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) represent a $30 trillion market opportunity globally, according to Colin Butler, head of global institutional capital at Polygon. High-net-worth individuals and private equity funds will drive adoption in this space because tokenization brings liquidity and accessibility.
Butler noted that the tokenized real-world asset market has reached $11.66 billion and is expected to grow significantly in the future. About $9 billion has been invested in tokenized private credit instruments, with major examples including KKR and Hamilton Lane. Butler expects tens of billions of dollars in tokenized private assets to be issued in the coming years. Currently, there are about $11.6 billion in tokenized RWAs held on blockchain networks, with the most popular being tokenized money market funds such as the BlackRock USD Institutional Digital Liquidity Fund and the Franklin OnChain U.S. Government Money Fund.

▌Moody’s and Elliptic Collaborate to Enhance Risk Screening Capabilities for Virtual Asset Service Providers
Moody’s Financial Research has partnered with blockchain analytics company Elliptic to enhance its risk screening capabilities for virtual asset service providers (VASPs). The collaboration will integrate on-chain and off-chain data, including digital asset transaction history, financial records, and regulatory databases to provide a more comprehensive risk assessment of VASPs. The two parties plan to use this information to create an “integrated risk engine” to help traditional financial services more effectively address anti-money laundering and compliance challenges. Elliptic’s Holistic technology will play a key role in the service, tracking the flow of criminal proceeds across blockchains in an efficient and scalable manner.

▌Trump: I have the right to comment on interest rate policy, but the Fed does not have to listen
Faced with criticism from the outside world that he has weakened the autonomy of the Federal Reserve, Trump downplayed his views on interest rate policy and said he should be able to share his views on interest rate policy freely. "I think the president can speak. That doesn't mean they have to listen," Trump said after an event in the swing state of Pennsylvania on Monday. Trump said he "tirelessly persuaded" Federal Reserve Chairman Powell on interest rates during his term, "which may have had an effect, or it may not have." "The president can certainly talk about interest rates because I think I have a good intuition," he said. "It doesn't mean I'm going to call the shots, but it does mean I should have the right to talk about it, just like anyone else."

▌US media: Against Trump, Harris proposed to raise the corporate tax rate to 28%
According to NBC News, Democratic presidential candidate Harris called for raising the corporate tax rate to 28%, which is her first major proposal as a presidential candidate to increase government tax revenue and fund the expensive plans she wants to promote. Harris' campaign spokesman James Singer said Harris will promote a 28% corporate tax rate, calling it "a fiscally responsible way to put money back in the pockets of working people and ensure that billionaires and large companies pay a fair share." If the policy is implemented, it will raise hundreds of billions of dollars. At the same time, it will also overturn a large part of the legislation signed by former President Donald Trump when he was president, which reduced the corporate tax rate from 35% to 21%. Meanwhile, Trump recently said that if elected president, he would further cut taxes, including for businesses.

▌What is Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS)?
DPoS is an evolution of the Proof of Stake (PoS) consensus mechanism designed to provide enhanced scalability, efficiency, and democratic governance. Daniel Larimer proposed the DPoS concept in 2014 as an enhancement to the traditional PoS consensus mechanism designed to improve efficiency and scalability. Larimer first shared his vision in a Bitcointalk forum post, which led to the actual implementation of DPoS and the launch of BitShares in 2015. This marked the beginning of DPoS in blockchain technology, laying the foundation for its adoption in other projects such as Steem and Eos. In particular, Eos, which used the consensus mechanism to conduct one of the largest initial coin offerings (ICOs) in the cryptocurrency industry in 2017, has attracted great attention to DPoS and highlighted its potential in achieving high performance and decentralized governance.
