Cuba Implements Emergency Measures Amid U.S. Oil Blockade

Cuba has announced a series of emergency measures in response to a new round of oil blockades imposed by the United States. According to Jin10, Cuban Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Trade and Foreign Investment, Perez-Oliva, outlined the government's plan to prioritize essential services and production. The measures include prioritizing fuel for basic services and key economic activities, postponing non-essential activities, and actively restoring fuel supplies. The government aims to increase domestic oil production and accelerate the construction and deployment of green energy projects. Additionally, fuel rationing and energy-saving measures will be implemented, with administrative work concentrated from Monday to Thursday. The plan ensures fuel supply for critical sectors such as residential water supply, food production, healthcare, national defense, disaster warning, and revenue-generating industries.
