U.S. House Speaker Johnson has minimized concerns over the spike in gasoline prices during the U.S. military action in Iran, describing it as a 'temporary fluctuation' that will be resolved quickly once the conflict ends. According to Jin10, when asked whether Americans can endure gasoline prices exceeding $5 per gallon, Johnson dismissed these worries. He stated, 'I believe the scope and mission of this operation are carefully designed and limited. I think the mission is nearly complete, and the Commander-in-Chief himself has indicated in the past 24 hours that the operation is nearing its end, so gasoline prices will adjust afterward.'
Johnson attributed much of the gas price increase to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz by 'the regime there,' adding that 'the Strait of Hormuz will reopen, which will take a few weeks, and gas prices will fall back.' He continued, 'So, this is just a temporary fluctuation in the extraordinary trend of America returning to energy dominance. The evidence speaks for itself and will continue to prove this point.'
