Public App Expands Retirement Account Options to Include Cryptocurrency Trading

Public, an investment application, has announced support for U.S. Individual Retirement Accounts (IRA) and Roth IRAs to facilitate cryptocurrency trading. According to PANews, the platform now allows users to manage cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana alongside stocks and options, enabling a more unified retirement investment portfolio. Previously, Public acquired Alto's crypto retirement account business for $65 million, with assets under management totaling approximately $600 million.
