The discussions are also expected to cover the situation in the Middle East. This visit marks Macron's return to Japan following his participation in the G7 summit in Hiroshima in 2023. The Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that this visit aims to further strengthen the relationship between Japan and France, emphasizing that the two nations are special partners sharing common fundamental values and principles.
