AVAX One Technology announced on April 7 its plans to advance its AI infrastructure strategy by constructing a 10MW AI/HPC microgrid data center in Alberta, Canada. According to BlockBeats, the company has signed a front-end engineering design (FEED) plan for the project, which is set to be one of the first dedicated AI computing facilities in the region. The initiative leverages low-cost energy, approximately $0.04/kWh, combined with a microgrid model to provide scalable and cost-effective AI computing power to meet the growing demand for high-performance computing and artificial intelligence.
Additionally, the company revealed the purchase of 220 Bitcoin mining machines (Bitmain S21 Pro) to enhance its computing power. This acquisition serves as a transitional cash flow source before the AI data center becomes operational, implementing a dual-track approach of 'mining + AI computing'.
