This monthly increase was consistent with the previous month's pace. Goods prices saw a significant climb of 1.6%, marking the largest rise since August 2023. The Bureau of Labor Statistics attributed an 8.5% surge in energy prices to the ongoing conflict in Iran. On an annual basis, the Producer Price Index (PPI) rose by 4.0%, representing the most substantial yearly increase since February 2023.
