USDA Soybean Production and Inventory Forecast for 2026/2027

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has released its May forecast for the 2026/2027 soybean production and inventory. According to Jin10, the USDA projects soybean production to reach 4.435 billion bushels, slightly below the market expectation of 4.444 billion bushels. The forecast for soybean ending stocks is set at 310 million bushels, compared to the market's anticipation of 361 million bushels. Additionally, the USDA expects soybean yield to be 53 bushels per acre, aligning with market predictions.
