OpenSea has restored support for Solana NFT trading, allowing users to buy and sell Solana-based NFT collections on the platform, including Claynosaurz, Mad Lads, BoDoggos, Collector Crypt, and Phygitals. According to ChainCatcher, Solana is now the first non-EVM chain to return to OpenSea for NFT trading more than four years after the platform first supported Solana NFTs in beta in April 2022.
An OpenSea representative said OS2 was rebuilt from the ground up as a multichain platform. The company said Solana token support came first, and NFT support has now been added, citing a broader trend of collectibles platforms adopting Solana NFTs. In April 2025, Solana returned to OpenSea through OS2, but only fungible token support was available at the time, with NFT support promised later. Other networks currently supported by the platform are mostly EVM-compatible chains, including Ethereum, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Avalanche, Base, Monad, Sei, and Berachain.
The launch comes as the NFT market remains far below its peak. The Block data showed that monthly trading volume reached billions of dollars in 2021 and 2022, but is now only in the hundreds of millions of dollars.
