According to the announcement from Binance, Stock Options are now live, giving users access to physically settled options contracts on U.S.-listed stocks and ETFs through a single Binance account. The product allows traders to take bullish or bearish views with Call and Put contracts tied to a predetermined strike price and expiration date. Binance said the offering is part of its expanding TradFi product suite and is designed to let users express direction, hedge equity positions, and manage portfolio risk. The announcement said option buyers face defined risk, with maximum loss limited to the premium paid. Stock Options are long-only, meaning users can buy Call or Buy Put contracts, but cannot write options or take short exposure. Orders are limited to limit orders in Phase 1, and trading is supported through a Funding Account, Spot Account, and/or Flexible Earn using USDC, USDT, USD1, U, and BNB. The product is offered through Nest Trading Limited as introducing broker, in partnership with Alpaca Securities LLC as U.S. clearing broker, and settlement involves physical delivery of the underlying shares custodied by Alpaca on behalf of Binance users.
Binance said trading hours for most U.S. stock options are 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM ET, while certain ETF and ETN options may trade until 4:15 PM ET as late-close exceptions. Stock options generally do not support pre-market or post-market trading, and no new orders are accepted during non-trading hours. Existing open orders remain on the book and can be canceled, but matching does not occur until the market reopens. The announcement also said trading may be affected by U.S. market holidays, early closes, trading halts, or other exchange events. To start trading, users must complete the Options Suitability Quiz and sign the Disclaimer, and those who have not opened Stocks before can open Stocks and Options together in one step. Binance said users can access the Options tab on the Stock kline page to check whether a specific stock supports options trading, then select an expiration date and strike price, place a limit order, and monitor positions on the Stock Trading Page or in the Funding Account.
