U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent signaled that the Japanese government and the Bank of Japan may act to support the yen as it continues to weaken. According to Sina Finance, Japan's benchmark borrowing costs rose on Tuesday to their highest level in 30 years, with the 10-year government bond yield up 6 basis points to just above 3% for the first time since 1996.
