According to PANews, Amazon Web Services CEO Matt Garman has predicted that artificial intelligence (AI) could redefine the roles of programmers within the next two years. Garman emphasized that this shift does not aim to eliminate developers but to transform their roles. He explained that coding is merely a language for communicating with computers and not necessarily a skill in itself. The real skill lies in innovation and creating something that engages end users.
Previously, Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang stated that AI would enable everyone to become a programmer without needing to know coding. Similarly, Microsoft’s Satya Nadella predicted that AI would create one billion new developers based on the same premise. Last year, former Stability AI CEO Emad Mostaque forecasted that there would be no programmers within five years.
