Speaking at Devcon, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin unveiled Kohaku, a new privacy-focused framework for the Ethereum ecosystem. He described the launch as entering the “very last mile stage” of development, where concerted effort is needed to enhance user privacy and security on the blockchain. Kohaku is an open-source, modular suite of primitives that will allow developers to build privacy-preserving wallets and applications without reliance on centralized intermediaries. The framework is intended to establish default, opt-in privacy for Ethereum-connected wallets, thereby formalizing privacy as a fundamental user expectation
