In November, EigenLayer expanded its restaking options to include Wrapped Bitcoin products, allowing users to deposit uniBTC to the ARPA Network, a protocol built on EigenLayer, in exchange for a yield. December data from DefiLlama shows that the total value locked across the decentralized finance ecosystem is approaching the highs seen in 2021. This increase in total value locked is partly due to liquid restaking products and the growth of wrapped Bitcoin instruments.

According to Odaily, a recent developer report by venture capital firm Electric Capital reveals that Solana has become the preferred blockchain for new developers. The report highlights that out of 39,148 new developers who began exploring cryptocurrencies this year, 7,625 chose to develop on Solana. This marks an 83% year-over-year increase in the number of developers on the Solana network. This growth rate is notable as it surpasses Ethereum's for the first time since 2016.
