U.S. President Trump Discusses Iran's Willingness for Ceasefire Talks

U.S. President Donald Trump stated on March 14 that Iran has expressed willingness to negotiate a ceasefire, but the current conditions are not satisfactory for the United States to agree to end the conflict. According to PANews, Trump mentioned in an interview that while Iran is eager to reach an agreement, he is not inclined to proceed due to inadequate terms. He did not specify the negotiation conditions but emphasized that any agreement must be robust, hinting that Iran must completely abandon its nuclear program. Discussing military actions, Trump noted that the combined efforts of the U.S. and Israel have significantly weakened Iran's military capabilities. He claimed that U.S. forces have destroyed most of Iran's missiles, drones, and related production facilities, asserting that these capabilities will be entirely eliminated within two days. Trump also confirmed that U.S. forces have targeted Iran's oil export hub on Kharg Island, stating that the island has been almost completely destroyed. However, he mentioned that critical energy pipelines were deliberately spared to avoid prolonged reconstruction efforts.
