Severe Weather Causes Major Flight Disruptions Across U.S. East Coast

On March 16, severe storms impacted major airports along the U.S. East Coast, leading to delays or cancellations of over 10,000 flights. According to Jin10, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) implemented flight delay controls at New York City's LaGuardia and Kennedy International Airports, as well as Newark Airport in New Jersey, due to risks from strong winds and thunderstorms. Similar measures were applied at Washington Reagan National Airport, Charlotte Airport, Atlanta Airport, and Houston's Bush Airport.
