Sygnum reported that oil and precious metals perpetual futures on Hyperliquid comprised over 67% of the HIP-3 contract volume in the first quarter of 2026, as altcoins showed weaker performance. According to NS3.AI, the activity linked to index-based HIP-3 contracts decreased significantly from approximately 90% to around 17%. Meanwhile, weekend trading of HIP-3 contracts surged nearly ninefold since January 2026.
